About My Clients
Be curious about you! You can’t control what has happened to you, but you can work on how to ensure a different outcome and how you react to what is triggering the way you feel. Small steps lead to a better day and a new path for your life. Even if all feels overwhelming, stuck, or empty, something is there; there is another step, another breath, another choice you can make. You are the change you want to experience. Be that change, take that step, dare. I am here to meet you as you are.
My Background and Approach
My desire to become a therapist started when I was a teenager; but as a dancer, I also loved the world of movement. Therefore, I received my B.A degree in Kinesiology and dance education in Tel Aviv, Israel. I chose this major because I wanted to become a Dance Therapist; and for 20 years, I taught movement/dance and pilates. However, my desire to become a therapist just grew even more while working with people through movement. Therefore, while living in the United States for many years, I decided to make my dream come true and went to Antioch University in Los Angeles to learn Clinical Psychology. After 3000 hours, several internships, and studying for exams, I became a licensed therapist. I cherish forever the day that I received my license. Since that time, I have worked as a Primary Therapist with teenagers and adults at a treatment center for Eating Disorders and Co-occurring Disorders. Now, I have my private practice that I truly love, and I will be honored to meet you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Do the uncomfortable. Don’t let shame, your judgment, and other people’s opinions make you shy away from what you know deep inside can be helpful for you. Whatever the reason, if you feel that you are struggling and that you need support and professional guidance, then listen to yourself and take the step. Remember, not deciding is still deciding. Now is the time to take a different approach and make the right decision. Deviate from the usual path, redirect negative voices to positive ones, face your fears and mistrust, push shame out of the door, turn down the volume of other people’s voices, rewrite the story you tell yourself, and show up for you.
