About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients of all ages and genders who are coping with anxiety, ADHD, co-dependency, low self-esteem, addiction, depression, life transitions, grief, identity and existential issues. I also have extensive experience working with people who are struggling with ambivalence surrounding change, goal-setting, and motivation.
My Background and Approach
My theoretical orientation is holistic and person-focused in nature, with influences from attachment theory, existentialism, and cognitive-behavioral theory. I believe it is essential to consider clients’ individual social and cultural contexts, past and present experiences, early attachment relationships, and individual goals as a part of the therapeutic process. I am an empathetic, compassionate, and curious clinician. I approach therapy as a collaborative journey, one where I walk alongside individuals, at their own pace, as they explore, heal, and grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Providing compassionate, non-judgmental, client-centered care is of the utmost importance to me, as I believe everyone deserves a safe space to share, process, and explore their emotional experiences in their own way and at their own pace. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally, proudly support the BLM movement, and am an advocate for substantial law enforcement and criminal justice reform. I continuously strive to deepen my understanding of intersectionality, multiculturalism, and individuals' diverse experiences, communities, beliefs, and perspectives.
