About My Clients
**I AM CURRENTLY NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS, BUT AM HAPPY TO ADD YOU TO A WAIT LIST.** I enjoy working with folks who are looking to explore their identities which might include sexuality, gender, race, religion, physical and mental ability, and roles in society. I am cognizant that our identities shape our personal and lived experiences in the world, which means that they continually impact how and what we need to heal.
My Background and Approach
I identify as a queer, Asian American, cisgender woman. I have several years of practice as a therapist, as well as a background in a variety of settings from formal teaching to community mentorship. I believe therapy is a process, a journey, and an exercise in self-discovery. It is not a solution to a problem, but rather acts as a piece of the puzzle in finding healing and wholeness. My job as a therapist is to give you a safe space to be seen and known, to ask hard questions, and accompany you to find answers. Therapy is a partnership, and if we determine I am the right person, for now, to walk along with you, I consider it a true privilege.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ affirming, sex positive, recognize that relationships come in many forms including both monogamous and consensual non-monogamous structures, and firmly believe that Black lives matter. I am also neurodivergent affirming and work with autistic folks and those with ADHD from this framework. I approach therapy from a non-religious standpoint, but have a deep interest in how religion impacts people, including ways that it can act as a source of trauma, while also acknowledging that it can be a source of support.
