About My Clients

Have you been feeling lonely, disconnected or not like yourself? Maybe there are issues from the past that you haven't dealt with that you would like to heal without feeling overwhelmed. Or possibly you feel swept away by your emotions and don't know how to get them under control. Perhaps you are feeling stuck, frustrated or tired. Oftentimes these issues can lead to anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.

My Background and Approach

With over 14 years of experience in psychotherapy, I specialize in treating issues related to trauma, spiritual & religious abuse, chronic illness/pain, eating disorders and grief & loss. I also have a sensitivity to and awareness of the needs of diverse populations when providing faith-based counseling, if this is something you want to integrate. Many people also have wounds from spiritual experiences that keep them from moving forward, healing, or being able to practice their faith. If this is you and you wish to address these traumas, I have expertise in helping clients in these areas.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone can heal even if that might look different for each person. My hope is to give you the tools you need to heal, while helping you reconnect with yourself in a positive way and also being a witness to the things that have been difficult to share elsewhere. I think its important that you learn how to independently develop skills that enable you to be healthier, stronger, and feel more whole outside of our sessions while also integrating the healing that we do within the sessions. Most clients report feeling and experiencing this within their first session and reporting that while they have been in therapy before, they have not had therapy like this before. Good therapy should leave you changed, restored, renewed, or reconnected to aspects of yourself that you lost or forgotten about. I hope to be your guide through that journey.
