I aim to be an open and straightforward person and try to balance giving credit when credit is due with helping people stay accountable and recognize where they can grow. Positivity and humor are important aspects I draw into therapy, with the understanding there is a time and place for each. Every person is unique and it's my joy to be a part of your journey and hear your story. For each client, I curate an approach appropriate drawing from different systems; therapy isn't one size fits all. In Florida's current environment, I aim to offer a safe place for all. Queer Mind Counseling was founded to create a judgment-free zone for people to learn and grow. Though my office is located in St. Pete, I do offer virtual sessions for anyone in Florida. I offer an honor-based sliding scale; I don't want finances to be a big barrier in receiving support. Helping people grow and trying to make the world a better place are my passions. I highly believe in finding our identities and the importance of having spaces where we can share our identities. As a POC queer person, I have had my fair share of struggles with society and finding myself, and as much as I hope to be able to resonate with your story, I also know I cannot know exactly what you have and are going through, but I can be there the best I can so you're not alone and hopefully, help get us through the tough times. If we work together, one of the most common words you'll hear from me is balance. Each area in life may have different levels or approaches to balance and I do believe we each get a say in what balance may look like for us. Our emotions, where our energy goes, how much ice cream to have for dessert, I look for ways we can find balance throughout our lives.
