About My Clients
I love working with individuals who have often felt misunderstood & mistreated by systems in their lives & I strive to build trusting & safe relationships with each client I see. I have a particular passion for working with individuals struggling with intergenerational trauma, issues related to body image & disordered eating, as well as issues related to race, culture & identity. I work with individuals across the lifespan including adults, teens, and children as young as 10 years old.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. I received post-licensure clinical supervision in psychodynamic psychotherapy and family therapy at Clarity Child Guidance Center. I have additionally obtained to distinction of Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) after completing training through the International Trauma Training Institute. I have worked as a therapist in different levels of care including residential treatment, inpatient hospital and outpatient clinical settings. My therapy approach focused on understanding each individual's early history, attachment patterns, culture, identity, and the roles within their systems. I strive to provide a safe, collaborative, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that is open to all identities and culturally responsive. Additionally I provide clinical supervision to LPC Associates.
