If you're an inquisitive, motivated person who has struggled to find a therapist who respects and appreciates your identity *and* challenges you to make tough decisions, I might be the right therapist for you. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples/relationships. I specialize in LGBTQ clients, though I'll work with you regardless of your label.
My Background and Approach
My specialties include gender exploration, anxiety, OCD, and hoarding/clutter. I hold a Post-Master's Certificate in Child/Family Therapy from NYU and have completed Level 2 of the Gottman Institute's couples' therapy training. I'm the author of multiple books on mental health, sexuality, and gender identity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a proud member of the trans and queer communities. Because I believe that the therapeutic relationship relies on trust and transparency, I'm open about the way my identity and history informs my perspective.
