About My Clients

I believe that every person deserves beautiful relationships built on trust, compassion, effective communication, and mutual respect. If you’re in a new relationship, therapy can be an ideal place to create a strong foundation for lasting love. Therapy is also for people facing the most difficult personal and relationship challenges such as chronic mental health concerns, extreme conflict, trauma, parenting/family issues, and profound betrayal.

My Background and Approach

I create a therapy experience that works best for you by listening to what you want most out of your time in therapy. Therapy is an individualized experience. Some people just need a few sessions to work on a specific challenge. Other clients are looking for a long-term relationship with a mental health professional. During the first few sessions, we will talk about your needs and make a plan to best support you in your journey considering your symptoms, goals, and current situation. I personally view the therapeutic relationship as lifelong meaning you can choose to pause and resume therapy at different points throughout your life. I always tell my current and previous clients “you always know where to find me."

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

"The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free." - Maya Angelou I recognize the immense importance of valuing all intersectional identities within the therapeutic space and viewing all people as interconnected. Acknowledging our shared humanity and our unique experiences and perspectives shaped by intersecting factors such as ethnicity, gender, sexuality, spirituality, and socioeconomic status is fundamental to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment for my clients. I am committed to actively challenging white supremacy/racism, oppression, and discrimination in all its forms. This entails ongoing self-reflection, education, and advocacy to promote equity and justice. I also believe in answering questions about my personal beliefs so that potential clients can make an informed decision regarding if I am the therapist they want to work with. If you have a specific question about who I am as a person, I welcome you to ask me!
