About My Clients
I work with clients who are living with anxiety, depression, other mood disorders and who are working to gain or regain holistic wellness. Focusing on resilience leads to tangible changes in the here and now, and can set us up for long-term emotional wellness. My Background and Approach
I have ten years' experience working with adolescents, adults and couples. When working with you, I will let you know you are heard and your story is held and believed. We will work to build on your existing strengths and use them in areas of growth. We'll work on getting off the emotional carousel and into a space of balance and flexibility where your needs are met, your voice is heard and your life is brought into a healthy, organic balance. This is your story and your wellness, so you will be in the drivers seat. Think of me as your co-pilot on the journey, here to help figure out the map and find the rest stops. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I received my masters degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Social Justice. I believe strongly in the healing and restorative power of community, acceptance and empowerment. These beliefs inform the work I do as a therapist to challenge my own biases, examine my white male privilege, and work to become a better ally. I utilize an approach grounded in multicultural and feminist counseling to build power and connection. I believe strongly that Black Lives Matter and that healthcare, including mental healthcare, is a fundamental human right.
