About My Clients
I aim to work with people who have been historically ignored and misunderstood. This often means identifying as autistic, having ADHD, Latinx, LGBTQ+, and people of color. We can work together in unpacking your past experiences and finding the truer version of yourself / Me propongo trabajar con personas que han sido malentendidos y maltratados por la sociedad, a menudo esto significa personas Latinx, LGBTQ+, autisticos, con TDAH, o gente de color.
My Background and Approach
It takes great strength to be vulnerable and open to sharing your experiences with another person. I invite you to join me in a non-judgmental and supportive space to process your life experiences. We can work together in highlighting your areas of strength and finding new ways to balance life stressors. I specialize in working with Latinx adolescents and adults who hold multiple marginalized identities such as autistic, ADHD, BIPOC, a woman, or queer. I have 5 years of experience working with, advocating, and learning from autistic folks, in personal, school, and professional settings. In the past, I have worked in a community-based agency supporting Spanish-speaking Latinas who experienced immigration trauma, domestic violence, and loss. I also have extensive professional training and personal experience in supporting people with diverse sexual and gender identities. With my eclectic background, I hope to holistically support each of your identities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has internal strength that can guide them through their darkest moments. I am passionate about confronting injustices while supporting people on their path toward healing. As a Brown, Chicana, Bisexual woman, I’ve experienced depression and sadness from hardships rooted in discrimination. I’ve turned those moments of pain into moments of growth, using the coping strategies I learned to uplift those around me. I strongly believe in supporting and advocating for those with marginalized identities experiencing similar struggles.
