About My Clients
I have experience working with individuals of all ages, but I have spent the most time with teenagers, young adults, mature adults, and couples. I have experience affirming and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, specifically with individuals who are coming to explore and process their gender identity.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a strengths based, positive, and client centered approach to develop a safe and secure therapeutic environment. I am energized when working with career exploration, family systems, individuals working in high performance environments, and overall self exploration. I practice using a holistic approach by understanding the systems each individual is a part of including their family, racial and ethnic culture, work environment, and social and romantic relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the environment and social structures that individuals exist in have a significant impact on shaping their identity and personality. It is my responsibility and privilege to understand the various aspects of my client's identity such as gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic identity, familial system, and professional role. I understand there are systemic barriers for marginalized communities, and I believe my role is to support and affirm my clients. Whatever I do not know, I encourage my clients to educate me on how I can best support them.
