About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I use a number of evidenced based approaches, including Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered. My work in community mental health and in our public schools has provided me with the opportunity for continued personal and professional growth. I believe offering a warm and safe space to the client is crucial to the therapeutic process. You will enter a judgment free zone during our sessions. My clients benefit knowing they can speak freely and openly which is necessary for real change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have extensive experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, families, and adults. My clinical expertise includes social skills training, substance use, academic related struggles, anger management, chronic pain, mood and anxiety related disorders, anger management, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, and communication issues. I am also a kink and poly friendly therapist and will authentically offer acceptance of who you are. Reaching out for help is difficult and I will do everything I can to make you happy you did. One way is by offering a safe space where you can open up without the fear of being judged. I offer that space in our sessions. I will work with you to set goals and work towards a solution that is tailored to each individual.
