About My Clients
We live in a time where anxiety, depression, and trauma have become the norm for so many. These symptoms overflow into our daily lives affecting our productivity, our relationships, and overall well-being. I know it can be hard to live the life you want when you feel overwhelmed all the time. I'm here to help you. You'll learn skills to manage your symptoms, grow your confidence, strengthen your relationships, and live your best life.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Medical Family Therapy (MedFT), understanding how medical conditions impact mental health of individuals and families. I also hold a certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I love working with all types of relationships, helping to heal and strengthen bonds by teaching communication skills and accurate empathy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the key component of my clients' progress comes from within themselves. I am just a flashlight, helping them to see through the dark. I believe a huge part of healing comes from understanding our family origins. I believe working with couples helps the entire family system, to which they are often leaders in. I believe effective therapeutic intervention in a family system disrupts maladaptive transgenerational patterns and replaces them with adaptive ones which positively impacts the family. Moreover, I believe the healing that occurs in the family unit will be passed on to future generations. I see children as seeds for potential and their parents/caregivers the gardeners to help them grow. I love working with relationships- couples, families, and parent-child and siblings. I teach parenting skills, communication skills, and new ways of thinking to gain perspective and reduce distress caused by conflict.
