About My Clients
My ideal client is someone wanting to make change, adjust to trauma, and set realistic and attainable goals. Every client is welcomed as I understand we all have differences that should be valued and respected. I welcome clients that are honest and not afraid to discuss the different hurdles they have faced throughout life. I also value and respect realistic change that is determined by your individual needs. Today is a great day to begin a better you.
My Background and Approach
The tools that I'll provide you with come from several theoretical backgrounds (EMDR, CBT, Brainspotting) which I have been perfecting throughout my career helping people just like you. I am a person-centered therapist that focuses on solutions. My experience in trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, comorbid disorders, and many other disorders will equip you with the necessary tools to improve daily living. We will work collaboratively to address the symptoms of your disorder while monitoring progress along the way. We will address thinking patterns and focus on changes you are in control of. We will review your surroundings and establish boundaries that promote growth in your life. I meet clients where they are to establish where they can begin to create change and develop healthy lifestyle choices. I am a great listener who wants to help you achieve personal, emotional, and physical healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs are that each and every person can reach success. I am an active member in my church, but I understand that our beliefs will not all come from the same origin, I welcome those differences. My goal is not to make you a believer of what I believe or support what I support. I want you to be an individual you are proud of; I want you to see the success from changes you are making. I want to promote resiliency, trust, dedication, accountability, and personal boundaries into our sessions. Though our social beliefs may differ, our willingness to create change together should create a stronger therapeutic relationship.
