About My Clients
It starts as a minor concern. Just one of the countless random thoughts that pass through your mind at any given moment, but for some reason, this one sticks. It grows and evolves and fills your mind with obsessive worry until there’s no room to think about anything else. You hate this feeling, but the more you struggle against it, the stronger it gets. You can’t shake this sense in your gut that something terrible is going to happen and that there’s nothing you can do to stop it. You are lost.
My Background and Approach
I have training in Gottman relationship therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma, and various techniques designed to help you overcome common mental health and lifestyle problems. Numerous seminars have proven invaluable in understanding relationships, personal achievement, finances, and overcoming life’s struggles. This knowledge has enhanced the education I received at Northwest Nazarene University as a Master of Social Work (MSW). I’m licensed to do clinical work and have enjoyed it for several years.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe a each of us should strive to obtain the best life possible for ourselves and our loved ones. Often we can find enhanced meaning by dedicating ourselves to a cause that is bigger than us. We find happiness by focusing on what we are good at and being accepting of others. We each have our own path and destiny, and it is important you continue progressing on that path daily. Personally, I’m into health and fitness. I have run two marathons, a 40-mile ultra-marathon, two triathlons, and several other community races to make working out more exciting. I’ve also done martial arts in the past. During the summer months, I enjoy archery. We can achieve more together than we can alone, and shoud seek for opportunities to help each other. I am open to all ways of life and interests and have successfully helped clients reach their goals in variety of lifestyles. I believe it is up to you to choose your own values and identity, and to find happiness in applying yourself daily.
