At Ominira Therapy, I understand that unintegrated trauma can lead to patterns of thinking and behavior often associated with personality disorders. I offer a compassionate space to process these experiences, utilizing therapies like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and grounding techniques. Together, we'll work towards healing and personal growth.

At Ominira Therapy, I recognize that PTSD can result from both singular events and cumulative traumas, including historical, intergenerational, institutional, and personal experiences. These traumas can surface unexpectedly, impacting daily life. To address this, I offer Narrative Therapy and CPT, which allows you to reframe your personal story and find empowerment in your experiences. Together, we'll work towards healing and resilience.

Addiction isn't a choice; recovery is. I understand that addictions—whether to substances, pornography, sex, or love—often stem from unprocessed trauma and can lead to a loss of self. Our pain in active use frequently arises when our core values are compromised, resulting in feelings of shame and guilt. Together, we'll explore these emotions, understand their origins, and work towards healing and reclaiming your true self.

At Ominira Therapy, I employ Narrative Therapy to help clients process and heal from trauma. This approach involves guiding you to tell your story in a way that separates you from your problems, allowing you to view challenges as distinct from your identity. By reconstructing your narrative, we work together to uncover strengths and resources that may have been overshadowed by traumatic experiences. This process empowers you to redefine your relationship with past events.

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in managing intense emotions and improving relationships. DBT combines acceptance and change strategies, focusing on skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. By practicing these skills, clients can navigate challenges more effectively and work towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.

At Ominira Therapy, I incorporate somatic therapy to help clients process trauma and stress through body-centered techniques. This approach involves becoming aware of physical sensations, such as tension or discomfort, and using methods like grounding exercises, mindful movement, and breathwork to release stored stress and promote healing. By reconnecting with your body's signals, we can work together to alleviate the physical manifestations of trauma and enhance overall well-being.
