About My Clients
My goal is to provide an inclusive, welcoming, and therapeutic environment for all of my clients. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, stress management, grief, social skills, self-confidence, and family changes. I support clients of all ages but have worked directly with teens for the past three years as a school counselor for middle school students.
My Background and Approach
In my experience as a therapist and previous school counselor, one of the most important aspects needed to garnish client growth is the development of the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist. I strive to develop a trusting, nonjudgemental, and supportive therapeutic relationship. I look to provide a safe place to foster collaboration, growth, and change. I use a Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused approach while remaining culturally sensitive. I am dedicated to building rapport and I tailor treatment to meet the needs of each individual client. Together, we will develop goals to better your well-being and I will utilize the appropriate therapeutic tools and techniques to support you along this journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that personal growth is limitless and everyone can benefit from a trusting therapeutic relationship. Therapy can provide different benefits to each person, such as a safe place to release emotions, a place to explore themselves, a place to learn and develop healthy coping mechanisms, or a place to work through barriers that may be hindering personal growth. It is easy to find yourself in survival mode or just going to through the motions in life, without really living it. Therapy can be a gift that you give yourself to benefit your overall well-being.
