About My Clients

I work primarily with teens & adults on issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, executive dysfunction, self-esteem, and adjusting to life stressors. I also enjoy working with those who have often found themselves on the outside of “traditional” societal norms: folks with autism and/or ADHD, the LGBTQ+ community, polyamorous & ENM people, and kink-identified clients. If you’re someone who has often felt like the black sheep, the outsider, the “weirdo” who doesn’t fit in, we might be a good fit!

My Background and Approach

I take a holistic approach and often use humor & the arts in session. I value bringing my authentic self to sessions and welcome you to do the same. I practice from a person-centered and strengths-based lens. I can support you with things like learning about boundaries & self-advocacy, coping with stress, exploring your patterns and ways to break away from what is no longer helping you, etc. What works for one person may not work for you - that’s completely normal. Let’s work together to see what fits! I want to ensure you feel heard & validated while also working to call out unhealthy patterns and challenge negative self-talk. I also offer education to help you learn about why your brain might work the way it does. I pull from many modalities like CBT & DBT, but meet you where you’re at and see what works for you. Change can be scary and it can be tough to step out of your comfort zone. But if you think you might be ready to start healing, you aren’t alone. Contact me today!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a part of the neurodivergent, queer, genderfluid/genderqueer, disabled, and polyamorous communities. I recognize the harmful impact that adversity, “otherness” and non-traditional life structures can have on the development of our core beliefs, how we engage in the world, and our overall mental health. I also recognize that oppressive systems are in place to maintain the status quo and impose inherent challenges for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and disabled folks. I love embracing unique quirks, interests, and strengths that you may have and integrating those into our therapy practice. I often utilize music, art, popular media, creative metaphors, and humor into my sessions and would love for you to bring in your special interests or fandoms to make therapy more accessible. Outside of work, I enjoy cozying up with my cat, gaming, crafting in a variety of ways, and watching or playing D&D!
