About My Clients
Are you feeling disconnected from your body or overwhelmed by past experiences? Do you seek healing that nurtures mind, body, and spirit? As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who integrates holistic practices, I support individuals in their journey toward balance and healing. By blending trauma-informed care with a focus on your unique needs, I help you reconnect with yourself for deeper, lasting transformation.
My Background and Approach
With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a holistic approach to therapy, integrating both mind and body healing. My background in the medical field has given me a deep understanding of the physical and emotional connections that shape our well-being. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use, utilizing evidence-based modalities alongside somatic practices and Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory. By working with the body’s wisdom, energy (reiki), and acknowledging the different parts of the self, I help clients uncover deeper healing and achieve lasting transformation. My approach is trauma-informed and envelopes creating a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their unique path to recovery and emotional balance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a true believer that we can change at any age of our lives. And it’s not that we necessarily change or need to “fix” ourselves, we’re not a broken clock (though sometimes, it can feel this way), it’s that we learn that the aspects of ourselves that learned in order to survive are no longer conducive to the life we’re wanting to create. I grew up denying many parts of myself because I was taught they were inherently “wrong”, so I developed this belief that everything I did, no matter what, was going to be wrong, including being bi, created an imposter syndrome like no other! I could not do my job as a therapist effectively, which led me down my own spiritual path and self growth outside of the therapy room. It forced me to practice forms of mindfulness, get away from the escapism I had learned and created to be second nature, and resolve the inner turmoil. Not only was I sable to heal the deepest parts of myself, I was also able to learn how to communicate more effectively.
