My Background and Approach
GBH has over twenty (20) behavioral healthcare providers for your convenience and service. Our combined experience spans over 200 years! We feature licensed counselors, licensed social workers, clinical neuropsychologists, and advanced practice nurses. At GBH, we treat the "whole person." We believe that effective treatment flows from an accurate understanding of what we're treating. We take the time to get to know you and your concerns. We listen carefully and formulate treatment plans that are tailored to your unique needs and feature concrete, behavior-based goals. We have the ability to do things that other practices cannot do which feature only counselors. We are able to prescribe psychiatric medication when appropriate and offer clients who are uninsured, underinsured, or on private Medicaid plans (Meridian and BCBS Community) the same level of responsiveness and high quality services that clients who are paying full fees using PPO plans enjoy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At GBH, we have always been on the cutting edge of working with clients who are uninsured, underinsured, come from marginalized or underserved communities or are dealing with discrimination or prejudice. We employ many therapists of color and are broadly allied with the trans- and LGBTQIA+ communities. We are passionate about social justice and immigrant / refugee rights. We believe in the importance of lending a voice to those unable to speak or advocate for themselves. Many of our providers volunteer with domestic violence hotlines, are on mental health crisis response teams, and are allied with Veteran, immigrant and the Black Lives Matter issues.
