About My Clients
I am a Two-Spirit individual who carries a passion to see folks from the LGBTQQIA2S+ communities, folks who come from low-income communities, or who find themselves now part of a low-income community, folks who identify as part of a marginalized ethnic group, and folks with any other marginalized identity succeed in life by their own definitions and achieve the goals that they wish to set for themselves despite what obstacles may exist.
My Background and Approach
By acknowledging and making room for every part of you that you bring to our relationship, I believe it allows a deeper connection between member and therapist, as well as a more authentic healing space for folks to feel safe to open up and grow. My specialties include: depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation/thoughts, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), historical/intergenerational trauma, LGBTQQIA2S+-specific challenges, and more. I use an eclectic theoretical approach when working with folks, which enables us to practice various tools, strategies, and avenues to healing. Some of these include evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Mindfulness, Expressive Arts Therapies, and Narrative Therapy, to name a few. Most of all, I believe collaboration and open communication are key to any healthy relationship, so I welcome and encourage feedback throughout the therapeutic process.
