About My Clients
Are you always a little bit afraid that an anxiety attack is waiting around the corner? Have you been hit with surprise anxiety more times than you can count? I know exactly what you're feeling: the pounding chest, the shortness of breath, the feeling that the walls are closing in and you need out NOW. Attacks can be terrifying, and I don't want you to have to suffer them anymore. I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for clients to freely express themselves.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Messiah University and also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health with a concentration in addictions from Alvernia University. I have a background in community-based services, crisis stabilization, and outpatient therapy. I have had the privilege of witnessing and holding space for many individuals identifying their true selves. I utilize a person centered, cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach to meet clients where they are mentally, emotionally, and physically when presenting for therapy. I am passionate about and experienced in providing care related to depression, anxiety, adjustments, relationships, emotion regulation, and stress management just to name a few. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't discriminate against anyone. I make it a point to participate in community actions that support the LGBTQ community. In my free time I enjoy exploring new places, taking my dog on adventures, and spending time with family and friends. If you want to learn more about how I can help, shoot me a message.
