About My Clients
I am passionate about working with adolescents (15+) and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relational issues, grief & loss and self-identity development. I utilize a person-centered approach that utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, narrative therapy and trauma-informed methods to increase awareness, challenge unhealthy thinking patterns and encourage healthy life boundaries.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Advocacy Studies at Winona State University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I have worked in the human services field since 2014 in various different positions, which has allowed me to grow comfortable with a diverse set of diagnoses and skills. I have worked in home, in communities and within systems to better understand how interconnected mental health can be. I am trained in adherent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and independently licensed in Minnesota.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My hope is to offer you a safe, non-judgemental and curious place to talk about what you find most important. I believe in holding a flexible and collaborative space in order to create a culture of healing and hope.
