Being a teen or young adult is both a confusing and invigorating time in life. In many ways, you are searching for your purpose - trying to balance the thrill of living passionately alongside taking different risks and experiencing pressures from your peers. People can be overbearing, which makes you want to shy away, especially when they keep telling you that your emotions are on overdrive because only young people can be this moody. And most of all, no one seems to understand.
My Background and Approach
Here at Interfaith Bridge Counseling, we believe that mental health is a human right. It is to this end that we prioritize giving young people a brave and safer space for their mental health in our Colorado community. Our clinical approach is rooted in a person-centered, liberation-based therapeutic perspective. Because you are the expert of your own lived experience, you are the driver of your own process in our therapeutic work together. This means we talk about and focus on what is important to you, and our therapists provide a container for insight, facilitation, and support to help you reach the outcome you’re looking for. Our therapists integrate a variety of different therapeutic modalities to create a multicultural therapeutic experience that balances the mind and body. We offer a unique 4-Step Support Program that has been specifically designed for teens and young adults: 1. Recognition 2. Self-Exploration 3. Communal Support 4. Skill Building
