About My Clients
I'm most passionate about working with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, communication, autonomy, self-discovery, & with LGBTQIA+ folx. Are you struggling with your mental health & don't know where to start? Maybe you're at a crossroads in your life & are looking for guidance. In our time together, I will strive to be your confidant, cheerleader, & copilot on your journey of self-discovery. It's never too late to begin!
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Science degree in Counseling from CSU Los Angeles's Marriage & Family Therapy School-Based Family Counseling program in 2017. I have experience with academic & career counseling, as well as providing resources for many needs. My special focus is on the individual with important context provided from their family system & childhood. I absolutely love working with people who are ready to peer into their past, recognize current patterns in thoughts, feelings, & behaviors, & are ready to change & make decisions for their future. We'll begin by getting to know each other & building trust in the relationship. You can share about everything in your life & I will be a companion to help you sort through your feelings, desires, fears, experiences, & dreams. We will share stories, maybe some tears, & definitely laughter. But most importantly, we'll integrate things that work for YOU! Therapy is awesome & so powerful for people to experience. I can't wait to meet you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a queer, neurodiverse, sex positive, deconstructed from religion, leftist therapist who supports the Black Lives Matter movement. I enjoy discussing social justice issues & how racism, capitalism, & the patriarchy impact our lives in so many ways. I celebrate people's uniqueness & encourage self-exploration. I enjoy reading tarot & integrating astrology into conversations when there is mutual interest. I love empowering clients to reauthor their stories by helping them process & find acceptance of the wonderful & multifaceted people they are today. I will always express my honesty with kindness, a nonjudgmental attitude, & compassion–all with a good measure of laughter & joy, whenever & wherever we may find it! I know how difficult it is to make changes in our lives, & I hope to encourage others to practice self-compassion on their healing journey. Please contact me if you think we might be a good fit.
