I have ADHD and was diagnosed as an adult. I love working with other neurodivergent folks and have helped many adults get diagnosed. I approach neurodivergence as a strength and will work with you to use your neurodivergence as an asset.

I worked with domestic violence survivors for six years before getting my masters and becoming a therapist. I worked in a shelter for many years and then transitioned to court advocacy. I am a survivor-centered provider and believe in harm-reduction.

I work with poly and other relationship orientation clients and couples. My practice specifically serves this community and our practice is designed to support non-monogamous folks.

I use ACT with many clients, but have specifically found success when working with neurodivergent folks Neurodivergence is misunderstood by most of the population and it is seen as something that must be masked and medicated. I strongly oppose those ideologies and believe that neurodivergence is a strength. When working with adults who get a late in life diagnosis, I work on acceptance and do not focus on changing their neurodivergence.

I like to approach therapy from the root of the problem. Though we can work to manage trauma responses and learned behaviors, I will also want to understand what causes harmful behaviors and negative thought patterns.

I utilize motivational interviewing because it is person-centered and collaborative. Clinician and client come together in the therapeutic space to focus on the client's concerns and feelings. The client must be motivated to come to therapy for themselves.
