About My Clients
Are you at a transition in your life, perhaps feeling unsettled, anxious, or even depressed? Maybe some days you feel lost and stuck and even hopeless. It is normal to go through stages in life where we aren't clear on how to move forward. Often, we just start feeling unwell, or not ourselves, but aren't sure why. Work with me will focus on all aspects of your being, from your emotional to physical and spiritual. Through exploring your deeper feelings, we will work together to find clarity.
My Background and Approach
I am driven by a desire for connection. I believe that through connection on a deep, authentic level, healing becomes possible. My work with clients involves focusing first and foremost on this relationship. My foundation is in depth psychology and based on the belief that we are all capable of healing. With the right environment, guidance, and willingness to reflect on ourselves honestly, we can move towards individuation, or becoming whole. Common in this type of work is the use of symbols, dreamwork, and shadow work. Additionally, I have training in sand tray therapy and somatic therapies, both of which offer effective and alternative approaches to processing deeper ingrained core issues and trauma. The tools and technique used will depend upon what works for you. We may try a variety of things, and I encourage ongoing, interactive feedback to discuss what works and what doesn't. Ultimately, I strive to create a warm, safe and trusting environment so you can show up authentically.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all come into this word equally worthy and lovable. It is through our experiences in life that we may learn behaviors and belief systems that are adaptive intitally, but become maladaptive later in life. I believe as adults, the occurrence of anxiety, depression and even physical illness (dis-ease) can be opportunities for us to address some of these old patterns of behaviors and beliefs that may be limiting us from moving forward in our lives. I have personally experienced many challenges at different stages of my own life, including panic attacks, anxiety, depression, hormonal issues, grief and loss, codependency, and more. I have learned to manage many of these intense feeling as they arise, and also have learned to break patterns that no longer serve me. I believe it is not only possible to do so, but necessary in order for us to reach our highest potential of health and well-being. My personal work is ongoing, and includes mindfulness, movement, yoga, and more.
