About My Clients
My experience includes working with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, sex addiction, substance addiction, and interpersonal relationships. I value and affirm autonomy, intersectionality, and diversity of life experiences.
My Background and Approach
My practice is grounded in existential therapy which recognizes the importance of meaning, relationships, autonomy, authenticity, agency, creativity, and connection for acceptance, growth, and change. I work with clients collaboratively to individualize therapy, and use a variety of interventions including narrative, psychodynamic, cognitive, polyvagal, attachment, and mindfulness practices. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and validating space where trauma, uncertainty, and other challenges can be explored, and paths to healing, growth, and resolution can be discovered. I value and affirm autonomy, intersectionality, and diversity of experience. My approach recognizes experience of systems and systemic trauma, autonomy and agency, equality and the right to exist, and the validity of individual and group experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of being a therapist and parent, I usually take things pretty easy, generally doing something related to coffee, reading, writing, Star Wars, ghosts, astrophysics, walking around to walk around. I think that some amount of levity in therapy is underrated. Like a lot of therapists, I’m a bit of a therapy/psychology nerd. In younger years coming across existential therapy, philosophy, and literature, and learning about various therapeutic frameworks, theories, and interventions was a life saver and I’m grateful to be able to bring those approaches forward now as a therapist.
