About My Clients
When individuals experience severe life stressors and traumas, it is not out of the ordinary for their lives to unravel. As human beings we have the power to overcome our greatest obstacles, so long as effort is put in place. The pursuit of growth brings its challenges, as well as its rewards. Through personal experiences with addictions, as well as its consequences, I've come to understand its roots and the importance of exploring how the conditionings of our past play out into our lives.
My Background and Approach
I utilize several therapeutic models that best support each individual client. I have found the use of mindfulness through a collaborative process to have one of the most profound impacts for personal growth and healing. My areas of specialization include addiction, trauma, family of origin dynamics, boundaries, codependency, anxiety, depression, grief, relational and emotional intelligence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Born and raised in Dallas, I graduated from SMU with a BA in Psychology. I spent the next few years exploring Eastern and Western modalities of healing, which greatly impacted my personal life. This inspired me to complete my MS in Counseling at, once again, SMU. During this time, I was called to get my certifications in yoga & meditation as I have found these modalities greatly increase levels of self-awareness, as well a cultivator for trusting one's self. This journey came with no shortage of struggles and inner conflicts. I find the path that life calls us toward requires unlimited patience, rigorous honesty toward one's self, and a dedication to rewiring our habits that have been built through a conditioning process that began with our first breath.
