About My Clients
As a therapist, I work predominantly with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adolescents and adults, as well as anyone looking for a safe and nonjudgemental therapeutic home. My work is rooted in vulnerability, collaboration, transparency, and self-determination, and I am passionate about creating spaces where people with marginalized identities and experiences can feel seen and understood. If you have struggled in the past to find a provider who "gets" you, I might be the provider for you.
My Background and Approach
I completed my graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Cincinnati, with a focus on transgender adolescent and young adult mental health. I have an eclectic professional background, with experience providing affirming mental health, health education, crisis intervention, and health care navigation services for trans and queer folks and their families, neurodivergent folks, people living with HIV/AIDS, people with eating disorders, and survivors of trauma. I use a systems-based approach rooted in compassion, transparency, collaboration, and intersectionality; empowering the individual and validating the impacts of racism, ableism, fatphobia, queerphobia, and medical gatekeeping.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, trans, neurodivergent, and disabled person myself, I know what it's like to walk through the world in a marginalized body and to feel excluded because of who you are. This experience greatly informs my both my work and my personal/political beliefs, which are both rooted in principles of social justice and equity.
