About My Clients
I am passionate about and have years of experience working with BIPOC and AAPI communities. My goal is to help folks unveil their potential and develop practical coping skills to manage stress. I have the ability to challenge folks to effect positive changes, increase insight, and to be more active participants in their healing.
My Background and Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based. My training in pastoral counseling has also equipped me to help people understand their struggles while deepening their sense of faith. I offer folks a safe space to explore and process different aspects of their lives. I draw from various modalities of therapy and take a collaborative approach to help address each client’s unique need. I incorporate elements of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) to promote positive and effective changes which lead to mental and spiritual growth and development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first generation Filipinx immigrant, I have experienced the struggles and challenges of growing up between cultures. Through my unique upbringing (and years of self-discovery!) I have gained insight into how to practice cultural integration and ways to live life fully within a multicultural society. I believe that folks are the experts in their lives and it is a privilege for me to be invited to folks' journey and season in life. My hope is that we will work together to help you find joy and to discover your own unique path to live life fully. Therapy can be daunting; however, it could also be where healing and self-discovery can take place. It takes courage to embrace vulnerability amidst life's uncertainties. I'm here to support you and to help you feel empowered. Visit www.lily-therapy.com for additional info. Message me so we can connect! Looking forward to being a part of your chapter on how to Live Life Fully!
