About My Clients
Have you struggled with anxiety making it hard to go about your life, whether that's social anxiety, obsessive compulsive anxiety, or any other kind? Have you ever felt it was a struggle to take care of yourself throughout the day? How about managing stress in your life, whether from work, family, or something else? Do you struggle with difficulty paying attention and focusing? I'm here to help, using my knowledge and experience to aid you in managing these awful experiences.
My Background and Approach
I have a variety of experience with different tools and techniques. One goal we can meet together is giving you some coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, or other difficulties in your daily life. We can work collaboratively to figure out what solutions, skills, and strategies we can find that fit your life and your needs. I often find clients have success using Dialectical Behavior Therapy strategies, as well as mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but that isn't all I have available in my own toolbox.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that feeling safe and heard in therapy sessions can be life-changing, and it's a critical step in beginning to manage stress, mental health, or substance use in your own life. It's been true in my own personal growth. I have my own personal experiences with trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I make it a point to advocate for others in my personal life, such as Black Lives Matter, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I also believe in finding what strategies and treatments work for you, specifically. No one is exactly alike. I am a big proponent of creative endeavors (ask me about my many hobbies!), self-care, and my beloved pet cat, Trinket (he may say hi!). Feel free to reach out to learn more about how I can help.
