You may be wondering if you have OCD. Maybe you've found yourself stuck in patterns of worry and over-thinking, asking others for reassurance, reviewing and double-checking that something wasn't missed. You've tried to break out of it on your own, tried other forms of therapy for anxiety, but it's not quite working.
My Background and Approach
ERP is one of the most effective treatments for Obsession-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It involves mapping out the patterns between your distressing, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and any responses you do to relieve the distress (compulsions). I've been trained by the Cognitive Behavioral Institute and certified in ERP. Through using gradual exposure and disrupting these patterns in ERP therapy, many people with OCD are able to reduce their anxiety levels and the regain the ability to live their lives without OCD getting in the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm an LGBTQIA ally, and do my best to make my practice a welcoming and inclusive space for all. I prioritize continued training and education. In my non-therapist time, I enjoy spending time at the beach, hiking or in a National Park. I love reading and podcasts.
