About My Clients
I most enjoy working with people who are facing relational and sexual challenges; navigating non-monogamy; exploring identity or purpose; or at a crossroads in life, facing big changes or decisions. I treat mental health diagnoses including anxiety/GAD, depression/MDD, OSDD, and PTSD. As someone with a background in Evangelical Christianity, I’m here to help folks grappling with religious trauma, spiritual deconstruction, the effects of purity culture, and reconciling LGBTQ+ identity & faith.
My Background and Approach
I became a therapist after decades in the corporate world. I have an MA in Marriage & Family Therapy from Antioch U, and a BA from Harvard. I have special interest and training in sex therapy, trauma healing, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. I consider myself a relational therapist, first and foremost. As humans, we’re wired for relationship. Our experiences in relationships can make or break us as we walk through this life. This includes our connections with others, but also with ourselves. I work with individuals, partners, and polycules. My approach to therapy centers my clients’ experiences and objectives. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth. I’m here to help you bloom into your best self, whether in your internal experience or in your relationships. In my practice, I focus on emotions, beliefs, and ways of relating. I’m excited to partner with you as you step into a life of authenticity, fulfillment, and alignment with your personal values and goals!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a white, cisgender, straight, demisexual woman. As a child, I experienced giftedness, neurodivergence, and serious bullying. Today, I see my ADHD as a superpower. As an adult, I married young, climbed the corporate ladder, and wrestled with the decision to become a mother. I've been through pregnancy, miscarriage, motherhood, divorce, remarriage, co-parenting, and raising LGBTQIA+ kids. I’ve experienced mental health struggles including depression and anxiety. Every part of my past is something I have learned from. Now, as a therapist, I appreciate that my life path has made me uniquely situated to help people with similar experiences. That said, I don't expect to work with people who are exactly like me—and I don't want to! I welcome clients from all identities, cultures, and walks of life. I look forward to learning about you & discovering what makes you unique!
