I see therapy as a helpful place to vent, focus on your experiences and how they shape you, work through thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you, and make the changes necessary to explore and embrace your authentic self in order to be the person you strive to embody. I work to decolonize systems of practice and center the client's unique and collective experience. In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy, and Attachment-based techniques and perspectives. My approach is anti-oppressive, strengths-based, and person-centered. We will work together to uncover your strengths and tap into your potential for growth and healing. My professional background is in the education, healthcare, and child welfare settings, assisting underserved and historically marginalized families, parents, adults, and children.

I came into this field with a passion for social justice. As an Asian-American, queer woman and daughter of an immigrant, it is not lost on me how special it is that I went into this profession for MANY reasons that I cannot fit into this short paragraph. What I will say is that I am acutely aware of my privilege and that people with identities similar to mine are needed in the mental health sector. I continually move forward in my career with respect to this knowledge and honor those who came before me as they have allowed me to live out my passions. With this mindset, I have been able to witness how life-changing the therapeutic space can be through my own lived experience and seeing the power of connection in my work with clients. I believe in your ability to overcome challenges and thrive, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
