About My Clients
You're out of spoons by 9 am, if you had any at all today. You're constantly vacillating between feeling overloaded and shut down. Your world is too much, and your comfort zone has become your prison; months or years pass before you feel confident enough to take any kind of risk at all. Maybe your pets have become your sole source of social interaction, or you live a rich virtual life and daydream about belonging to an actual in person community who accepts you for exactly who you are .
My Background and Approach
Healing is real. Imagine a world where you feel free to take off your proverbial mask and shine your awesomely weird self. All. Over. The. Place. Where there's a real possibility to deeply know who you are, feel accepted by others, and (dare you say) be emboldened to allow others to be the fullest, most authentic and expansive versions of themselves. And you know what? Your possibilities are endless. I approach support through a trauma-informed, neurodivergent, gender-affirming, and culturally sensitive lens. I aim to meet people where they're at and help clients to build a life that's meaningful to them. I'm EMDR trained and a registered yoga teacher.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that autistic rights are human rights and all neurodivergent brains should be respected and valued. I look at therapy as a collaboration to support people in building a life that feels good to them by following their lead and magnifying their au-someness, rather than focusing on their challenges. I love supporting humans and families that are non-traditional and who choose to color outside of the lines. I am unschooling supportive, gender-affirming, always culturally seeking, and welcoming to LGBTQIA+ humans.
