About My Clients
My clients are a diverse group, including immigrants and "third-culture" individuals and couples. I have experience working with Asian/Asian American clients, as well as with Latinx and European clients. I love working with people all across the rainbow of sexual orientation and the spectrum of gender. I have experience working with trans clients. I understand that bisexual/pansexual and non-binary identities experience specific types of oppression that can easily be invisibilized.
My Background and Approach
My approach is relational and weaves together somatic and anti-oppression work with evidence-based methods (including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing). Often my work revolves around helping people heal their attachment and their relating. I also support people with finding agency and peacefulness in how they relate to their own emotions. I have a background in international business and a coaching certification: these experiences ripple through therapy in that I tend to help demystify the process of healing and growing and to support and challenge clients to concretize insights into value-congruent action.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I ground myself and my approach to psychotherapy in Buddhist practice and Buddhist psychology.
