About My Clients

Clients would describe me as patient, committed, and warm. We develop a plan to meet their goals together. When people have been through a lot, they may find they feel uncomfortable with opening up about stressors but soon realize our sessions are a safe place and therapy does not have to be scary. If you are looking for a positive connection, emotional safety, and to increase insight, join me! You will find me as having a non-judgmental communication style, even when exploring areas of growth.

My Background and Approach

As a therapist focused on empirically based therapy practices, I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and an attachment-focused lens. I have spent a significant time helping clients learn how to build coping skills, manage stress/uncertainty, and work towards trauma symptom reduction. My experience is also in treating shame and setting healthy goals while addressing unhelpful patterns. I have had the pleasure of seeing clients thrive who didn't believe they could. I currently have availability to take on new adult, child and teen clients (over the age of 10) for individual therapy. In addition, I offer sessions to parents looking for assistance with managing their child’s behavior concerns or looking to fine-tune their parenting skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we lived in a world in which we found a therapist that helped us feel confident to do the inner work needed to fulfill our potential? I believe this is possible! I believe everyone deserves a chance to live their best life and to work with a therapist who treats them with dignity and careful attention. Therapy is a sacred space of healing, and I believe it's an honor to join the journey with you. As a mixed-race person, I also believe a therapist's willingness to understand your specific point of view is critical in addressing your individual needs. In addition to believing that clients deserved high quality care, I also believe that therapists who are learning to hone their skills through therapy supervision deserve a safe place to grow into an effective therapist while obtaining their license. I am currently accepting 1 to 2 interns. LPC Supervision rates: $75 an hour.
