About My Clients
Do you need to talk to someone? Have you been "stuck" in old patterns of belief and thought that just do not fit anymore? Are you trying to repair a relationship but no one really understands? Do you feel lost? Anxious? Different? Sometimes children start to interpret "beliefs" that later become intrusive or negative as adults. I can give you the tools you need to release those intrusive thoughts, feelings of loss, or trauma/stress to allow you to move forward.
My Background and Approach
There are a LOT of approaches out there. I have seen trends for treatment renamed/rebranded and become popular again. At the end of the day, it is about you. I approach our work together as collaborative. We may use techniques including CBT, existential work, trauma resolution techniques, play, humor, and others, depending on what your individual needs are. Whichever is most appropriate, it will include realistic skills that you can use in your everyday life that work for YOU. I will always take into consideration your beliefs and culture.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we can all heal. Each person is unique and cultural differences should be honored. I believe that by honoring each person's uniqueness, therapy can effectively assist in healing emotional wounds from trauma, anxiety, and loss. Our body and mind connections should also be honored and at times, with an integrative and holistic approach, we can greatly improve our internal mindset. I also know that our systems (family, relationships, jobs) all become impacted with we start to shift. I believe that treatment should integrate all of those things as we work toward healing.
