As a member of the LGBTQIA Community myself, I understand the unique challenges and experiences that come with navigating sexuality and gender identity. I offer a safe accepting and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts feelings and experiences. Dating, hookups, relationships, building friendships, and aging in a community that prioritizes youth.

The majority of my clients I have worked with thus far struggle with some form of anxiety. I have enjoyed helping clients with coping strategies to help reduce their day-to-day experience of anxiety. Through exploration of triggers, I help clients get to a better understanding of why anxiety is affecting them. In my practice, I see how anxiety intersects with marginalized identities, depression, and neurodivergence.

If the depression you are experiencing could talk, what would it say? Depression can be the result of many things - trauma, grief, anger focused inwards and even creativity not being expressed. I help my clients process and reduce their depression through therapy, connecting to people, and changing the way they think.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) encourages people to embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. We will work collaboratively to help you move forward through difficult emotions, so you can put your energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative. You'll learn a collection of coping mechanisms specifically designed for your situation, which you can use throughout your life to handle challenging experiences.

Every person has their own unique experiences, the way in which they interact with others, and perspective on life. Therefore, therapy should reflect the uniqueness of the individual/couple/family and be tailored to their needs. Integrative therapy provides the client access to a variety of different models and methods that best suits the context of issues presented to the therapist. The effectiveness of therapy relies on the collaboration between the client and their therapist.

To me, person-centered theory is a way of being, not just in counseling but in all aspects of life. Engaging in this perspective means I follow your lead. I'm honored to join you on your journey and shed light on patterns, needs, and values you may not have recognized before. You get to decide what pieces to keep or leave behind in order to recreate the you that feels most congruent and connected.
