About My Clients

Are you looking for a safe space to explore questions you may have running around your head? In my therapy sessions we spend a lot of time getting to know one another and figuring out strategies to best support you. We will work using a person centered approach to learn more about you and then delve deeply into finding empowerment through managing stressors. I have mostly worked with clients who identify as either queer/trans/GNC, Disabled, and/or young adults.

My Background and Approach

I have two master's degrees, in special education and social work, where I have built my understanding on how to work with diverse individuals and their families in multiple contexts. My main goal is to make therapeutic spaces accessible for you, meaning we will spend a lot of time getting to know one another. All of my therapeutic approaches are rooted in social justice with an emphasis in exploration, person centered, through learning and telling of stories. I believe that each client is an expert in their own lives and in order to best support you, you need to be actively engaged in designing and shaping your therapeutic experiences. We will explore various strategies, in a holistic manner, that help you deal with difficulties you may be experiencing. This may require us to revisit past memories and explore feelings that arise, or think ahead and work through potential outcomes. The goal is to empower you in these sessions!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My strong social justice and accessibility lens have guided most of my work. Starting in graduate school, my research aimed to use my academic privilege to bring voices oppressed by society into the discussion. I spent a lot of time learning about Latinx families experiences interacting with the special education system and providing suggestions and policies to eliminate common barriers. I inform all of my work through reading and self-advocates, so I spend a lot of time with the communities I work with. I work both in English and Spanish, and can communicate with ASL and LSE (Lengua de Signos Española). I am building my language capacities and hope to be able to continue to offer services in multiple formats for people.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
