My Background and Approach
I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, families, and nonprofit organizations reach their full potential through collaborative partnership. I value the human experience and seeing people flourish with the right support. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space to guide and support you through a collaborative treatment approach that is individualized to your needs. I use traditional and Holistic methods such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Somatic experiencing to help you learn how to observe your body, mind, and behaviors with compassion and objectivity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any point in their lifetime. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity, just limiting beliefs that we have inherited from systems that underserved, neglected, abused, or abandoned us. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because there are unhealthy learned behaviors that we picked up along the way or because we experienced trauma that left the spirit rattled. I too have been through therapeutic processes throughout my life to better understand myself and work through some painful experiences that were hard to accept and move past.
