About My Clients
I work with thoughtful people (maybe even "overthinkers") who are looking to better understand themselves and their place in the world. I'm particularly passionate about working with queer and trans people and individuals who have experienced relational trauma. I'm sex-positive, body-neutral, and fat-friendly. My goal is to deeply understand and honor each facet of your identity and cultural experience.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Social Work degree in Multicultural Clinical Practice from Augsburg University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing from Cornell College. I have experience with individual, group, and relationship therapy in outpatient and community-based settings. If you choose to work with me, you can expect to collaboratively build a caring relationship in which you can explore your beliefs and values, make meaning of your emotions and experiences, and develop more compassionate ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I take a gentle and curious approach to therapy and healing, prioritizing slow, long-lasting growth and change. I aim to support my clients in finding ease and glimmers of joy in their daily lives, while navigating the challenges we often face as we move through the world. My politics are progressive and I bring a liberatory and anti-oppressive lens to the therapy space, inviting exploration of the ways systemic injustices impact our wellbeing.
