About My Clients
Do you find yourself overwhelmed by the systems around you? Do interactions with certain people require more energy than they used to? Do you notice your own personal morale dropping or being negatively affected by circumstances that seem beyond your control? This can be such a crippling feeling, but together, we can find a way through. I believe each person/partnership is the hero of their own story, equipped with strengths and resources to provide a way to not only survive but thrive in life!
My Background and Approach
The tools I will offer are tools I have been honing for over 2 decades, working with adolescents, partnerships, & families. Methods many people naturally resort to in times of stress can actually work against them, and it takes a new outlook to find a way to personal satisfaction and/or relational relief. In fact, systems around us often gaslight us into believing we are the problem. But I believe people are not problems; problems are problems. And after participating in some of the top trainings, I have come to know that both individuals and partnerships can benefit greatly from expanded awareness of their own selves, as well as those around them, in order to better navigate the intricacies of life. Increased awareness, coupled with the right tools, can lead to great outcomes for a future that seemed so elusive before. I look forward to collaborating with you to find and realize that future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal motto for my own life is "Ask tough questions, and question typical answers," which has led me to expand my own horizons SO far over the years. This stance of curiosity has carried me beyond oppressive systems, and it not only served me well as an individual but has also been incredibly helpful in assisting my clients in understanding themselves more deeply. I am an unapologetic advocate and ally for LGBTQIA+ folx. I spend my spare time speaking to community leaders, galvanizing resources and supporters, calling out oppressive systems, trying to affect local/state/national policy, and empowering people affected by those systems. I also have a heart for people who have grown to challenge formerly held beliefs, even when it leads to hardship in newfound freedom. Growth can sometimes be an isolating and lonely place, but I personally know the great relief and resilience that can be found in having someone beside you to help along the way.
