About My Clients
I mostly work with people in their 20s and 30s who experience depression and anxiety or need help navigating substance use, self-esteem, body image, identity development, sexuality, and interpersonal relationships. Life is full of highs and lows, and it is through these experiences and emotions that we grow. I would love the opportunity to help you work through the lows and discover a stronger and healed version of yourself.
My Background and Approach
Feeling comfortable, supported, and safe are imperative for your therapeutic experience. I prioritize a person-centered approach, embracing every client wholeheartedly. Together, we'll delve into the patterns of your thoughts, emotions, and actions to foster a richer self-awareness and awareness of your relationships with others. We will also explore "parts" of yourself and how those parts serve and do not serve your well-being, even if they previously have. I have experience and a passion for working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community focusing on identity, relationships, social justice, and overall mental health. I also have experience working with substance use recovery and building a healthy relationship with alcohol and drugs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer man, I am a major advocate for inclusivity and my door is open to anyone who feels marginalized in society. I am queer affirming, culturally sensitive, body positive, sex positive, and more. I believe everyone should be equal but acknowledge that, in our society, not everyone is and so I always work toward social justice and advocating against the discriminatory -isms and -phobias.
