About My Clients
My clients would describe therapy with me as a warm, inviting place to bring their whole selves into the room. If you're looking to better navigate your relationship, want to feel more in control of your anxiety or OCD, or feel like you're ready to start unpacking some of your trauma, we might be a good fit!
My Background and Approach
I was trained in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy at the Institute for Human Identity and spent years volunteering as a crisis counselor for trans and queer youth. If you're not in the LGBTQ+ community and still want to work together, definitely still reach out! Affirming therapy just means that I am trained to support folks of all identities and work to understand your experiences through your unique contexts. In therapy-speak, I integrate psychodynamic theory with parts-work and social justice frameworks. This means that I work collaboratively with my clients to explore the impacts of their past experiences and current stressors in combination with their cultural and social contexts. Think of therapy with me like a roadtrip—you're in the driver's seat and I'll be running navigation alongside you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be a comfortable space to work on the uncomfortable stuff. It's not always going to be easy, but I'm here to support you along the way. The therapeutic relationship is a special one with lots of healing potential, so I work to build authentic connections with each of my clients.
