Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Abingdon, VA

About My Clients

I work best with people who feel stuck—whether it’s trauma, addiction, anxiety, or deep emotional wounds. My approach is direct, compassionate, and rooted in evidence-based practices like EMDR, DBT, and IFS. I specialize in complex trauma, severe mental illness, and substance use, creating a space where you don’t have to filter yourself. If you’re ready to understand yourself on a deeper level and make real, lasting changes, I’m here to help.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), but more importantly, I’m someone who believes in the power of healing, connection, and finding your way back to yourself. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level change—it’s about getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck. Whether you're carrying the weight of trauma, navigating addiction, or feeling like life has lost its direction, I offer a space where you can be real, where your struggles are met with both compassion and honesty. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices like EMDR, DBT, and IFS, but it’s about meeting you where you are, without judgment. I know what it means to feel unseen, misunderstood, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. That’s why I do this work—not just as a clinician, but as a fellow human who believes in the possibility of transformation. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about coming home to yourself!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in creating a space where people feel truly seen and supported. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, and passionate about social justice, mental health advocacy, and breaking the stigma around trauma and addiction. I support harm reduction, body autonomy, and the right to access compassionate, evidence-based care. Outside of therapy, I’m a kitty cat lover, a lifelong learner, and someone who believes in the power of humor, honesty, and human connection in the healing process.
