About My Clients
I specialize in working with those who have experienced significant trauma, emotional, sexual, physical, religious, intergenerational, and around issues of non-acceptance from family members. In addition, I have 11 years of experience working with adolescents who have engaged in problematic sexual behaviors and their families, including reunification and safety planning.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor's of Social Work from East Tennessee State University. I received my Master's of Social Work from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. I obtained my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in December 2002. I am trained in EMDR and TF-CBT to address trauma. I follow a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mother of children who are on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, I often find myself educating and advocating in normal conversations including within some progressive religious spaces that seek to affirm all.
