About My Clients
I specialize in working with clients that are exploring their LGBTQ+/ Neurodivergent identities, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, and relational structures. I am passionate about supporting fellow queer and neurodivergent folks as well as folks in the kinky and polyam communities. I enjoy helping clients evaluate and process trauma, learn new coping skills, connect more with their emotions, and improve their communication skills.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed therapy. We will take our time looking at your existing communities and past experiences; all while we ground ourselves in what pleasure will and can look like for you. I also utilize motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral theory for clients that are eager to get tangible skills to aid them in their discovery journey. As a therapist, I have an open, accepting, non-judgmental approach to all my clients, and I aim to be a safe space for you to explore your needs and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapy is founded in queer theory, intersectionality, and decolonization. As a social worker, I am also committed to learning about social justice, advocacy, and injustice that occurs in the world, and I do my best to advocate for change on individual and large scale levels. I look to leaders and literature in a variety of social justice movements in order to inform my own philosophy, and I aim to continually be learning and improving. These are topics that we can safely discuss in therapy, and our time together can be a space for you to form your own identity and narrative separate from what society may say you are.
