If you often catch yourself worrying about the future or dwelling on the past, I imagine you're feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, wanting to feel secure in the present moment. My goal is to meet you right where you are and equip you with the tools to navigate life's challenges, while encouraging you to see things from different lenses in a safe environment where you can be yourself as we journey back to the here and now, as I give you the psychology behind things and how society/culture impact us.
My Background and Approach
My approach is holistic and conversational in nature, where I combine strength-based, trauma-informed, and multiculturally competent frameworks to provide a unique and encouraging therapeutic experience. This includes a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused and Mindfulness-Based CBT (TF/MB-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I once came across a quote that read “in a world full of critics, be an encourager” and that has forever stuck with me, as it may seem like with every passing day we have another loss, I make sure to count every win no matter how small it may seem. I value encouragement, empowerment, authenticity, and integrity in and out of the therapeutic setting. I can balance the roles of cheerleader and coach, meaning I’ll always have your best interest in mind and I won’t be afraid to tell you how it is.
